Reflecting on the year gone and looking ahead

The start of a new year is always a good moment to pause, reflect and look forward. As we move into 2026, we are proud of what the past year helped us build at Active Flooring and excited about what lies ahead.

Delivering spaces that matter

Over the last year, our team continued to deliver high value flooring projects across the UK, working across residential, commercial, education and healthcare sectors. From complex education schemes and healthcare environments to large scale residential and commercial developments, our focus has remained the same: delivering quality, reliability, and care on every project.

What matters most to us is that the work we do goes beyond simply completing projects. The environments we help create are places where people learn, recover, live and work. Knowing that our contribution plays a part in shaping those experiences is something we take real pride in as a business.

Investing in our people

A significant focus over the past year has been investment in our teams. We welcomed three new apprentices into the business through degree apprenticeship routes, continued to invest in training and development, and expanded our teams to support growth across new regions.

This included advanced health and safety training, first aid and mental health first aid, alongside specialist flooring courses for our installation teams. We believe that high standards on site start with well supported, well trained people who feel confident in what they do.

Investing in better systems and safer ways of working

Alongside our people, we are also investing in the systems that support how we operate day to day. Over the past year, and continuing into 2026, we have been reviewing and improving our internal processes to create safer, more efficient and more consistent ways of working.

By strengthening our systems and embracing smarter ways of managing information, communication, and compliance, we are improving visibility across projects, reducing risk and supporting our teams on site and in the office. These improvements help us deliver better outcomes for our clients while maintaining the high standards we set for safety and quality.

Social value and long-term relationships

Alongside project delivery, we supported several social value initiatives that align with our clients’ goals, giving back to the communities where our projects are delivered and supporting causes that matter to us.

We are also proud to have maintained strong relationships with long standing clients while developing new partnerships. Trust, collaboration, and consistency continue to be at the heart of how we work, and these relationships have been key to our continued growth.

Looking ahead

 As we look towards 2026, there is a real sense of momentum. With plans progressing for a new head office and an extended team in place, we are well positioned to support further growth, take on more complex projects and continue raising the standard in everything we do.

The year ahead brings new opportunities, new challenges and plenty to be excited about. We are looking forward to building on what we have already achieved and continuing to deliver spaces that make a positive difference.
