Founded by a passion for quality and a dedication to customer satisfaction, Active Flooring has grown from a small local business into a leading provider of flooring solutions across the UK. Our journey has been guided by a commitment to our core values, shaping our success and driving us to improve continuously.
Our Journey
Setting Our Foundation
Active Flooring Solutions was established in Stockport, by three friends, Ed, Rich & Lucy, armed with extensive flooring expertise but limited experience in running a business (of course this was to change).
Initial Growth
First team member joins the company and they are still with us today.
More Growth
Reached £3m turnover, marking the beginning of an exciting journey of growth and success for our company. That’s enough flooring to cover almost 14 Wembley pitches.
Expanding Our Footprint
The Leeds Office was opened to better service clients from our base in the North East.
Launching Our New Hub
The Liverpool office is established as the central hub for the business, housing accounts, HR, and administration. As the company continued to grow, this location became the heart of our operations, supporting our expanding efforts and future success.
Scaling New Heights
The company hits £7m turnover. We’ve now laid enough flooring to cover over 50 Wembley pitches.
Groundbreaking Success - First National Award

Company Directors Lucy, Kevin, and Andrew embarked on the Everest Base Camp Challenge in Nepal and successfully completed the journey. Their incredible achievement was driven by their dedication to a meaningful charity close to their hearts.
